Some of my earliest memories are in the sawmill with my grandfather. I grew up watching him turn rough logs into strong, useful lumber, and that’s where I learned the value of hard work and the satisfaction of creating something with my hands. Life took me in other directions for a while, but years later, when I began working with my dad to clear large lots of timber, that old spark came back. The smell of fresh-cut wood, the rhythm of the saw, the pride of a clean stack—it all reminded me of where I started. That’s when I knew I wanted to carry on the tradition for myself.

Chimney Lumber Company was born from that mix of past and present—a way to honor the skills passed down through generations while building something new for our community. Every board, every beam, every cord of firewood that leaves our yard is a piece of that story. This is more than just lumber to me—it’s carrying on a family legacy, cut straight from the land.
